About Us
The University of Rwanda (UR), established on September 10, 2013, through the merger of the National University of Rwanda (NUR) and six other public higher learning institutions, is a premier public institution deeply committed to academic excellence and the development of Rwanda. Governed by a Board of Governors and an Academic Senate with staff and student representation, UR operates under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer. The university employs a collegiate model, comprising six colleges offering diverse programs in specialized and interdisciplinary disciplines. Courses Offered
Undergraduate Programs:
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Eligibility: High school diploma or equivalent
- Duration: 3-4 years
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT)
- Eligibility: High school diploma with a strong background in mathematics and science.
- Duration: 3-4 years.
Bachelor of Public Health (BPH)
- Eligibility: High school diploma with a background in biology and health sciences.
- Duration: 4 years
Postgraduate Programs:
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Eligibility: A bachelor’s degree in any field with relevant work experience may be required.
- Duration: 2 years
Master of Public Health (MPH)
- Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in health-related fields or equivalent professional experience.
- Duration: 2 years
